I am 16 years old and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I study Macleans College form 6 at the moment. This is my third year live in here. I like all the ball games, especially baseball. I sing as well. I am a member of our schools barbershop chorus, Pocket Edition. I normally like thinking about anything and everything. I could say I am a little "philosopher". I have always been enjoying thinking about whatever people are thinking and feeling. I hope I could be a scientist or baseball player in the future. But my baseball life seems to be very narrow now.. I have been playing baseball for three years since I have been in this country. I have improved a lot during this three years of playing. The first year when I play baseball. I could not even speak English, for I had just arrive this country. Then, I precise both my baseball and my English very hard to become what I am now. I had been working very hard for my baseball skills since I had join a baseball club, Howick Pakuranga Baseball Club. The coaches in the club are very nice to me. They teach me many things I don't know. I often borrow books from libraries to improve my baseball skills. Now, I have played three years in the club. I have played in two all-star games in my league, Kiwi League(U15 League), for my club. I have joined two years of our club U19 Composite Teams. They are very good and in 1998-1999 season, we, form of the U15 players, beat all other U19 teams. We were all very happy. I have also participated in the New Zealand Level One Coaching and Level One Umpiring Courses and receive both of my certificates. In 1999 January, I played in the Howick-Pakuranga New Zealand U15 Squad in New Zealand-Australian Friendship Series against Bayside Westheaven Baseball Club and a club from Australia. We won that series too. Year 1999, the last year of the century, is a big year for my baseball club, HP Baseball Club. The club had bought and owns a baseball ground. They built this baseball ground to be the first international standard baseball stadium in New Zealand. We, all our club members, are very proud of this stadium and our club. After 1998-99 Season, I have been suspended from playing baseball until I finish my University Years. The reason being, I have study harder and use more time for my schoolwork. However, I am still acting as a volunteer for my club. I have faith in them. I am, indeed, looking forward to that day when I could start play baseball again.
